we the pathfinders were somehow assigned to maintain the discipline of "a night of hope" concert in dewan sri pinang. It was certainly a happy, fun WONDERFUL experience.

So we leave at 7pm and the whole group of us pathfinders are divided into 2 groups. The backstage crew and the main entrance crew. I was backstage :D so I got to hear see and experience the wonderful musicians on stage. yippee!

FIRST OF ALL - let me tell you how awesome the violinist that day was. her first piece was just normal. But for her second piece, she donned a cowboy hat and started to play this really quick upbeat AWESOME piece. I was blown away.....literally...i was in awe. and the best thing was, when i told her I loved her playing, she just smiled at me and said "Praise God" :D :D :D A christian with talent. even better :D

but before all that performance, we had a task to do. move stage equipment ie. chairs, music stands, piano and choir stands. We were given a piece of paper with all the written requirements so it was easy. The positions of everything was labeled, so again, it was easy. Basically, we divided the job up depending on the number of items we were to carry out on stage.

It was funny really, because for the first half of the night, things that were required to be carried were light stuff like the chairs and music stands, so we got the girls to do that. While the other half we needed MUSCLE for the piano and the choir stands. so the guys did that.SOMEHOW, we forgot the fact that while the light things are being moved out, he curtains are still up, but for the heavier things, the curtains are down. SO, the guys got a little jealous that the audience gets to see the girls but not the guys. haha. PICKY. i knowwwww....and i argued that people don't actually see us anyway. BUT still,we sent some guys off to be seen by the audience too :) cooperation at its best!! (psssst. Ms. Davis said she saw me on stage when she went for the concert so we are actually seen!hahahha....sorry railey :P)

being backstag helpers, we hyper group of 9 had to also learn how to tone down the noise. it was tough, but because in pathfinders we learn respect and discipline, we did just that, and it was soooo cute to see everyone try to communicate without so much of a peep.

Pics below when there were breaks and we could make noise :P
