Football - 2nd day

was feeling so bad for missing last week. and so i came! and it didn't disappoint :)
First we started off with the "outsiders" and the "in the box" warm up.
basically, the two outsider's goal is to kick out the balls in the box. people in the box defend the balls. MUAHAHAHHAHA.....it was tricky and hard. ick. I realised i really don't know how to control the ball and maneuver it.
Next, two "goalies" were to stop pairs from getting the ball across "the line" my partner was gen AND, gen is good actually, I'm just scared! D8 should stop being that. but our passing was quite good. hehe. we worked together real well, and scored the first goal! fun.
WHOA. we went straight into a game with the "superiors" and whoaaaa...this is the first time I actually saw them play. they're good, the younger girls look as if they should be on tv and they look so comfortable with the ball. HEY. i wanna be like that. first half i was the goalie. but honestly, our defence was so good that the ball rarely got into my territory. Next up, I decided, NO! must play a little and volunteered to go up. stupid BUT, must have experience, how come I can't kick the ball to the side when people are infront of me?!!!! I don't get it but will try harder next time we play.
My team won thanks to that aggresive girl in fluorescent yellow shirt, the sporty one in normal attire and the one with the long platinum blonde hair. they'er awesome

Guess what I found out?
As I was exploring the perimeters of the Chew's Residence, I stumbled upon a queer looking room. Lets take a look
So then I ventured as curiosity got the best of me.....
whats this I see? I lovely green plant supplying sufficient Oxygen to the users of the toilet if however they spend a long time in the toilet doing what is *ahhem* necessary. Haha. put it this way, with nature in the toilet, nature definitely 'calls" XD

Today I wasn't supposed to go to pf. It was performance day in gurney for IB drama Hepatitis production BUT I rushed and made it in time :D
Today was decision-making lesson by guest speaker.....*drumroll* Dr. Danny OH!
lol. he's good.
What we learned:
Step 1 - GATHER ALL INFO (pros and cons)
Step 2 - Ask others who have experience aka parents
Step 3 - Ask yourself if you can handle all those responsibilities
Step 4 - Consider the long-term results
Step 5 - MAKE the decision
Today I felt very teacher-ish. The kids asked me about the activity they were supposed to do - write 3 things they learned about decision making - and I actually answered and wow, they were like....oh ya....thanks teacher. awwwwwwwwww ^_^

Em.....was abit disappointed in Joshua.
Was......feeling so un-excited for tutoring him. so much work, and had to cook for caregroup tomorrow.
yet. I still did it. SIGH
Joshua didn't do the homework I gave him. And he didn't study for the exam I was about to give him. AND, he spent the whole time asking me how to do the questions and his attention was on his phone and choir. I HAVE GOT TO MAKE HIM FOCUSED. but does that mean I have to be hyper all the time?
Sorry Joshua, I am helping u the best I can, but there is little I can do if you don't help yourself as well.

PF - Supposed telematch day

today in the morning, Aunty Maria called me up. D8 noooooooooo....her 4 children as sick and she cannot come for pf. At first she was like, "ok hui ern, just go ahead with robert and randy to do the telematch thingy ok?" then she told me her son (also in that class) said :"What about me mom? *puppy dog eyes*" AW. so we canceled it and decided to continued with our usual show-and-tell and pledge and law expansion.
Today I did show-and-tell! and I baked brownies for the class. :D they loved it and i'm really happy they did. Sharon did show and tell by making a box for her mom. THAT IS SO SWEET, and its just mother's day....woo....
Ok, well, since today aunty maria wasn't here, I had to sort of take over the class. Poor aunty cathy....no one really listens to her and she is just too lenient on them. So, today, i was a "teacher" Something ya, I've never had much experience with but turned out, ok-ish :S we continued with the pledge and law.
I walked around, answering questions, making sure they all had 8 requirements completed. and WHOA, seems like wth me, they are all noisy. WHAT?! so I had to be stern-er. :S something I dreaded being, but for the sake of the class, AND aunty maria :) I actualy had to raise my voice. whoa. I don't like being a dictator. But oh well, gotta do what I gotta do yea?
Today I found out, the nicest student is Sharon
and Elisha THE BOY likes attention from me :D
Tutoring Number 2

Today was a busy + tiring day. football. tutoring and later have a meeting with uncle johnny wong. BUT fun all the same.
I was proud of joshua :D
he did most of his homework! And I managed to teach him somemore new techniques of add-maths-ing. The thing about Joshua, he doesn't know how to apply those rules I gave him. FYI, I added more to the rules this week and maybe I have to research more on the whole of the topic before making rules. hehe. Makes me seem unprofessional......if I add it later on that is.....:S
Joshua didn't understand how to do the indices 5.1 problems i gave him so, we worked on that the WHOLE day. Honestly Josh, sometimes u're a bit slow, but *sigh* it IS my job to be patient so *GULPS* I shalllllll.......be patient. Sometimes yea, I really don't get why he doesn't understand the questions but then again, as a tuition teacher, I have to put myself in his shoes, not everyone can be as fast as Japheth or as crazzzzzzy as carol so, PATIENCE. the main value one has to have in tutoring.
NEXT WEEK. JOSHUA. YOU BETTER BE READY. NEXT WEEK IS A TEST.

TODAY WAS A PERFECT DAY TO BE SHADY. BUT......it only did get shady after football.D8
First of all, I HAVE to say, I have never done football before and I suck EXTREMELY SUCK at it. I thought my feet coordination was pretty good but......you won't know until you find a sport u really suck at. and that is football.
But anyway, its fine, its fine. CAS is all about trying new things and taking time out to be healthy as well, so I might as well do it. Just with sunscreen next time hehe. Anway, we start off by standing in a circle and, basically its just like monkey in the middle, just that its a football we kick. Fun.
Then we go into the opposite passing to opposites. Fun. At first my kicking was way off, the ball kept going to the right side, then i learned that we have to twist our body slightly more because sometimes when we think something is straight, it actually isn't. Yea, whacked body position i have. I KNOW. lol. anyway, after a million or so kicks, I got better at it! and even learned to kick using the side of my foot. Awesome eh?
Next uppp, going around cones. OKKKK.....This looks pretty damn easy, but sadly isn't. the ball just flies around, and I end of kicking once the ball with my left foot and another with my right. RETARDED. I need to learn how to do that from Mr.Whittlestone. But the fact that he made it into a little competition made it exciting! hahaha....people in white vs. people in colours.
NEXT. THE GAME. hahahhaa....not fun at all. the sun is shining andddd my team is one person short. ARGH. meaning. NO GOALIE. but anyway, its just a game, I don't wanna sulk and lose out on learning the rules and stuff just cause we lack 1 person. So we play and, yea, this game taught me how to pass the ball to other people. Its tough but you have to use your team members when the "whiteS" are hording you and hovering over you. all in all. the main thing is. USE YOUR TEAMS MATES. thats the only way to win in football.
one sick thing was, EVERYTIME a ball came near me, it zoomed straight to my and. WHAT?! WHY?! I kept on getting 'hand balls' and the white team got free kicks. ISH. BUT, revealed! My skill as a goalie for the free kicks we had in the end. wheeeee~ i'm really destined to be one I CAN FEEL IT! muahahahha...lol.
oh oh. i learned. balls out on the side get throw ins. and to the back get banana kicks like beckham ;D

Today we did alot of planning for the very near future.
Ivan does alot of thinking PLUS the action, so I, think UES is going somewhere :)
So firstly Boom took attendance........and announced that following the list we gotta post something in UPENSO. oh well, its Ivan first and i've still got a long way to go. heheh.
Anyway, Ivan talked about ENVIRONMENTAL WEEK. long overdue, but still workable. There is THE WALL event. THE COCONUT event which i think isn't the coconut event after all? THE POWERPUFF GIRL'S which I have no clue is......and....one more thing. I forgot. So Ivan showed us those jelly things that grow in water that can help water plants grow easily. He bought 9 packets that were pretty and colourful for 'the coconut' event. I'm really looking forward to environmental week :)
The news this week is the broken library chair. :D There was a huge humonguos hole in it and Michael suggested we tear it apart and make good use of the parts. The fabric goes to DT and the wood as well. REUSE. the 3rd R. I feel environmental. B)but not many people are needed for the "tearing apart" so I head on to wash bottles. Its actually quite a disgusting job washing bottles, but somebodys gotta do it right?
